The beginnings of real nursing

I finally started working on the icu unit this tuesday on the night shift (6pm-6am). Initially I thought that it was going to be pretty hard on my body but it's not as bad as it seems. Well the first night I was great until about 4am or so. I started to get a little bit sluggish. Good thing it was a slow night for my orienter and I. But when I arrived home at about 630am I crashed! Didn't wake up until 3pm or so. Wow seems crazy huh! But I worked 6pm-6am yesterday and I did fine. It's actually kinda neat working at nights because the environment is more relaxed and most of the patients are asleep at that time anyways. NICE! I really enjoy working at the ICU because I've learned alot concerning different health issues and medications. It's great! and i'm getting paid for it!!!! woohooo
