My brother dropped me off to where Tim was in the parking lot of the canyons. Tim was dressed up. After my brother left, with a couple of blankets we wrapped it around us to and trodded slowly through a snowy trail. There was no one in sight. As we walked and talked I noticed fresh red rose petals on the ground which there happened to be a trail of it. I asked Tim about it as I didn't know what was going on and he replied, "Doesn't rose petals grow in the snow?" sure they do........
We continued walking and I kept admiring the rose petals on the ground. We came to the waterfalls known as Bridal Veil Falls which was hovering above our heads. It was beautiful especially the sound of the water hitting each rock and crevice it came across. As the cool air blew we continued to walk. Then we came to a split in the road. Two trails appeared but the rose petals led towards the bridge. "Which way should we go?" Tim asked. Well knowing my sly self just for kicks I replied "Let's go straight (no rose petals). After walking a few feet Tim politely said, "hmm I'm kind of tired, let's go the other way." Expecting that something good was going happen ofcouse I agreed to go on the well planned trail. After we crossed the bridge and hearing the river flowing gently beneath us we reached the spot where we were about five months ago on a cool fall Sunday evening stargazing. There on the ground laid a dozen red roses and four candles by it. A smile crossed my face. We found a dry spot on the ground and laid the blankets beneath us. Tim began the conversation with what my thoughts were about our past five months together. He pulled out his "Things I want in my future wife" list and I read it out loud. We continued to talk for another half an hour or so. I did notice that while we were sitting that Tim had his hand over his left pocket the entire time. Well that's interesting... Later Tim asked "We should be going back soon huh?" I replied yes and so I stood facing the waterfalls and away from Tim. He pulled my hand gently and I turned around to find him kneeling beside my feet with the ring in a box. "Lynn will you marry me?" My smile grew even wider. I said Yes and sparks flew! It was as if no one else was in the world besides the two of us.
As we walked back I noticed more candles hidden by the trail. We rushed to return home because stake conference was that evening and we still didn't have dinner yet.For some odd reason Tim decided not to park in the many empty lots in front of my place because he said that it was hard for him to park turning on his left. Weird but I made no thought of it. He flipped around afterwards and parked in one of the lots. As we walked down the steps noticed a guy and a girl leave my place. I was stunned.Who are they? The guy continued to walk straight across to the next apartment. He hid his face in the doorway. But when he turned his head a bit I recognized the face. It was Tim's roommate..ohhhhhh ok........so there's more to it then... When I opened the door to my home I noticed my living room was lit. As I entered I couldn't help but smile. The room was lit with at least sixty candles and there was a framed picture of us on display.
The room smelled of black cherry and berries. Wow....I really did hit big with Tim. I was pleased to find Cafe Rio food on the table read for our hungry appetites. Coincidentally about five months ago on that same spot that starry night I saw a shooting star and I made a wish that I would get married the upcoming new year which is this year. Dreams and wishes do come true!

Well that's the end of my story but it will forever live on in my heart.

I agree... Tim was never the greatest car parker when turning to his left. Cometo think of it, Tim wasn't that good parking to his right either.
Congrats and we wish you the best with the wedding planning. Getting ready for a wedding can be stressful, but as a couple, just remember: you can't please all, but you can strive to please most.
Some other words of wisdom I've come across in fortune cookies that can help Tim
be a better companion: Whether right or wrong, to avoid heartache, just agree
with your wife.
My latest fortune: in the next 5 months you will find 3 lost socks.
