Winter Wonderland

Nothing beats a real Christmas season feel without the brightness of white snow scattered all around. It just started snowing and hailing on Monday night as we were out in downtown Provo. We were celebrating in the joy of starting the Christmas season off right with listening to the serenading of 3rd graders outside the Provo Art Center. It was also during the time it started hailing. Boy...that had the kids excited! We were also able to experience the switching on of the lights downtown. One neat thing about Provo is that six years ago ZCMI in SLC closed down their candy window displays so Provo decided to continue the tradition and each year there were a number of displays throughout center street. This year there were 10 displays and the theme was Winter Wonderland. We were amazed at the creativity and imagination of the artwork. We were also salivating at the many delectable candies strewn before our glistening eyes.

This pic is taken while it was hailing outside the Provo Arts Center. Here comes winter!

Here is a pic of one of the candy windows about to be revealed. On the right is the designer of the following couple pics of the girl and her wonderland.

This next candy display won third place. These people spend many hours and hundreds of punds of candy to finish up this masterpiece. Looks so delectable! These next few are themed wonderland in the sea. There's Ariel and her friends! Can you find Spongebob?

The next display won the first place. A family actually put together the playful wonderland. Moving display.

There's Santa and his reindeer going in circles!

The next theme was Dancing under the Moonlight.

Hope that's not licorice. Good for display but not for taste.

Our first Christmas together!
